The Blue Ribbon Army (BRA for short) is a 501c7 social club focused on giving like-minded geeks a place to meet new friends. Throughout the year we host several events, as well as taking on many projects for charity. You can find our group having a good time at places like pop culture conventions, arcades, BBQs, tea parties, the Renaissance Festival, and much much more! We are a safe place for geeks to avoid the negativity of the outside world. We are free of political and religious discussion, as well as drama in general. Come see what we are all about! We welcome all fandoms with open arms!


Do I have to pay to be in the Facebook group or attend events?
No. You can continue to post dank memes and geek out with us on Facebook and attend all events that are not specified as “members only.”

How often do I pay membership dues?
All dues are paid annually.

What will my membership dues be used for?
We’re glad you asked! Your dues will be used to offset the cost of membership events, swag, and retailer discounts for our members. Events can include, but are not limited to the Arizona Renaissance Festival, Arizona Science Center, One Party to Rule Them All (at Phoenix Comicon 2016), Tea Parties, etc.

Is there a time limit on signing up as a paid member of BRA?
Memberships can be purchased at any time.

Is there a lifetime membership?
At this time there is not a lifetime membership available.

Are your board members paid?
All Blue Ribbon Army board members are unpaid volunteers. All financial information, as required by law for a 501(c)7 organization, will be posted.

How long does it take for my membership to be approved?
You should not expect to wait more than a week for approval.

How long does it take for me to get my BRA swag?
Because orders are placed in bulk, anticipate a turnaround time of 4-6 weeks.

If I decide to change my mind about being a member after I have paid, can I get a refund?
We understand if you decide to change your mind and will issue refunds up until the point that member benefits are shipped. After product is sent to you, there are no refunds.
